Incoming Freshman Night 2018

Hello Class of 2022!

On behalf of Glenbrook North High School, I would like to invite all parents and students to our Incoming Freshman Curriculum Night on January 18, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sheely Center for the Performing Arts (CPA). Families should arrive at the CPA by 6:15 p.m. We encourage students to sit with their parents and jointly participate in each session.

The evening's activities will focus on classes available to freshmen, as well as high school registration and placement procedures. Instructional Supervisors and teachers of English, mathematics, science, social studies, career and technical education, fine arts, and world languages will present their curricular offerings.

Students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and their parents are invited to attend a session in the GBN Library from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kathy French, Instructional Supervisor for Special Education, and Amanda Lazzaro, Assistant Instructional Supervisor, will share the guiding philosophy of GBN services and present a general overview of programs including the IEP articulation conference. Ms. French and Ms. Lazzaro will remain in the GBN Library throughout the evening to answer questions you may have.

Lastly, parking will be available on both the north and south sides of the building. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

Ed Solis
Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction
