Philanthropic/Service Clubs

GBN_Activities

The Philanthropic/Service clubs at Glenbrook North give students opportunities to participate actively in and contribute to their community.

Students engage in meaningful volunteer work that encourages them to become active, responsible citizens who are committed to making a difference in the world around them. Through these clubs, students gain a deeper understanding of the social issues prevalent in their community and develop a strong sense of empathy and compassion, nurturing their passion for service and inspiring them to become lifelong advocates for positive change.

Kids 4 the Cure is a club that raises awareness about cancer. Our goal is to engage students in volunteer opportunities in the GBN and the surrounding community in order to show our support of anyone impacted by cancer. Our club has made ribbons, attended charity walks, and passed out sunscreen to promote our cause. We have a partnership with the Special Spaces organization which gives us the opportunity to create a dream bedroom for a teen in the local community who has cancer. Students who want to make a difference in the lives of others are welcome to join.
