A school health center is an innovative way to help ensure that students have access to health care and do well in school. The center is a resource offered in a familiar, trusted, age-appropriate, and convenient place for students. By meeting students where they are and conducting active school-based outreach, we can connect students with preventative, ongoing health care services to keep them in school to learn.

The Glenbrook School Health Center is open to any student currently enrolled in Glenbrook High School District 225 is eligible to visit the school-based health center. In addition the center may be accessed by District 225 staff members,

District 225’s agreement with Advocate Aurora Health indicates that the Glenbrook School Health Center will only provide services to students under 18 if they have a signed parental consent form on file. Families may access the electronic consent form here or pick up a paper copy at the center during normal hours of operation.  Students under the age of 18 must have a signed consent form in order to be seen. 

Students at Glenbrook North or Glenbrook Off Campus who need transportation to Glenbrook South during the school day may request that service when scheduling an appointment.  Please note that arranging transportation may require 24 hours’ notice

The medical team also offers services for staff members enrolled in the school district insurance program. Services may include accessing biometric wellness screenings, general check-ups, and commonly used prescriptions

Scope of Services

The services offered in the Glenbrook School Health Center will be similar to what community members can receive in a pharmacy-based immediate care center.

Hours and Appointments

The Health Center will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students may schedule appointments before, during and after school. The center IS staffed by Advocate Aurora Health, which maintains all records subject to medical facility privacy laws and therefore, not available to school staff.   

Students may make appointments before, during or after school. Students at Glenbrook North or Glenbrook Off Campus that need transportation to Glenbrook South during the school day may request that service when scheduling an appointment.  Please note that arranging transportation may require 24 hours notice.

Students may also be referred to the Health Center by the school nurse.
