Math Enrichment Center

The Math Enrichment Center (MEC) is a more intensive level of intervention available for math students at Glenbrook North High School. The purpose of the MEC is to support students who are appropriately placed in their mathematics course at GBN but are struggling with either the course content or the prerequisite skills necessary to master that course content. These students have also sought extra help from either the Math Resource Center (MRC) or their teacher prior to receiving support in the MEC. The MEC is staffed throughout the day by Math teachers and instructional assistants who work with these students in a small group or one-on-one setting during blocks when a student has SRT, Advocacy, Guided Studies, Study Hall, or Study Strategies.
