Thursday, January 22, 2026 - Green Day
- Interested in a gap year? Join a representative from Where There Be Dragons in the S.A. Hallway from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. to learn about gap year opportunities.
- Tomorrow is Green and Gold Day. Rep your school colors, show your Spartan pride, and finish Turnabout week strong. Go big, go bold, go green and gold
- Attention GBN! Pre-sale tickets for Turnabout 2026: A Chalet Getaway are now closed. If you missed the window, don't worry—you can still join us this Saturday! Tickets will be available at the door for GBN students only at $40 per person. We can accept cash, PayPal, or checks made out to GBN. Please remember that guest tickets were pre-sale only and will not be sold at the door. The dance runs from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. this Saturday, and all students must be present and scanned in between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Head to Athletics Door K and have your 25-26 student ID ready to scan. Remember, this is a semi-formal event, so dress to impress—but please, no heels, string bags, or backpacks are allowed. We’ll see you at the Chalet!
- Calling all juniors interested in the opportunity to become a Peer Group Leader for the 2026 - 2027 School Year. The self-nomination time has arrived. Please check your school email for the link. You must nominate yourself to demonstrate interest and start the process in order to be considered in the selection process. The Self-Nomination form will close today, Thursday, January 22, 2026. Don't miss your chance! If you have any questions regarding the process or the program, please reach out to Mrs. McDonaugh in the Science Department.

Join us on Saturday, January 24th, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. for a night of live entertainment and activities. Just a reminder: all students must be checked in between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. This is a semi-formal event, so dress to impress—but please, no heels, string bags, or backpacks are allowed. GBN students can purchase tickets online through the Fee Payment System or in the bookstore for $25 with an activity pass or $30 without. Bringing an outside guest? Listen up: Guest tickets are $30 and must be purchased in the bookstore with an approved form by TODAY, January 21st. Guest tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

Friday, January 16, 2026 - Gold Day
- Attention GBN Students! Turnabout 2026: A Chalet Getaway is coming Saturday, January 24th! Tickets are available now online or in the bookstore. If you’re bringing a guest, you must get their ticket and approved guest form into the bookstore by Wednesday, January 21st. Guest tickets will NOT be sold at the door.
- Tuesday is Cozy Day for Turnabout week. Pajama pants, hoodies, flannel, blankets, basically anything that looks like you hit snooze three times and still made it to school. Be comfortable. Be cozy. Be ready.
- Join Geography Club today in room A260 to learn about the nature and culture of East Africa! There will be free smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and we will also be playing GeoGuessr! See you all there!
- Attention all track and field athletes! Tuesday, January 20th, marks the beginning of this year’s indoor track season. The boys team will meet in the little theater for day 1, and the girls will meet in the field house. Make sure you’re signed up for track in power school and that you have a valid physical on file. Any questions, please see Coach Brandt or Coach Mayer. All are welcome!

At this meeting, we’ll dive into a powerful and fascinating connection between history and justice—how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. drew inspiration from Irish leaders, especially the legendary Daniel O’Connell. Dress up, show out, and help support Turnabout, our winter dance and band fundraiser. Participation counts. Spirit matters. Start planning now.
