  • Hey Spartans! Do you want to develop your critical thinking and laboratory skills? Do you want to enrich your life science education? Do you want to participate in an opportunity that 10,000 students register to participate in annually? Then register for the USA Biology Olympiad! The USABO is the premier biology competition for high school students in the United States. Registration closes on November 8th, 2025, and the test will take place on February 4th, 2026. Find flyers posted around the school with more information on registration. Sign up now!
  • Spartans!  Do you want to save 3 lives??  Then sign up to donate blood on November 11th, a green day!  All donors will get a coupon for a free Papa John's Papadia and be entered to win a gift card!  Stop by the SAC to register today!
  • Are you interested in learning more about American Sign Language? Our very own ASL teacher, Ms. K, will be teaching us ASL. Join World Language Honors Society on November 11th after school in room A204. We will have apple Cider donuts to snack on while we learn!
  • Glenbrook North DECA is hosting a Spikeball Tournament on Tuesday, November 18th, at 7 p.m. in the Main Gym. Grab a partner and sign up at the CTE office for $21 per team. Everyone is welcome to come play or cheer on your friends! See you there!
  • ahoj! Come to Slavic Cultures Club this Friday after school in room A251 to learn more about Slovakia, taste Slovak snacks, and play traditional games! Everyone is welcome!
  • Think you can strike big?  Join the Girls Bowling team!  We roll into the lanes on November 17th.  If you have any questions or would like to join, see Coach Ruesch in the Deans Office.
  • If you are attending the Operation Snowball retreat November 20th-22nd, please check your school email for an opportunity to sign up for fun "mini-workshop" activities at the retreat! Sign up is first come, first serve, so fill out the Google Form ASAP! The deadline for signing up for these activities at the retreat is Tuesday, 11/11.

Items include cleaning supplies, office supplies, blankets, dog and cat food, leashes, and more. For more information, please see the flyers posted around the school. A donation box will be at the Front/Visitor Desk through Friday, November 14th.

There will be a mandatory informational meeting for all players who plan on trying out for baseball in the spring today, Wednesday, November 5th, from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Little Theater. This will also be our first Wellness Wednesday meeting of the year. If you are unable to attend, please email Coach Weiner or stop by to see him in Student Services.

  • Peter and the Starcatcher is a comedic and fantastical play that serves as a prequel to Peter Pan, explaining how the orphan boy became Peter Pan and how Captain Hook became his nemesis. The story follows the boy and a girl named Molly as they embark on an adventure involving magical starstuff, pirates, and a faraway island. Reviews praise the show's imaginative humor, energy, and creative storytelling.  Appropriate for all ages. Tickets can be purchased at cur8.com. Students with an activity pass can visit the SAO for one complimentary ticket.
  • We like big books and we cannot lie! Join us in the IDEA lab after school TODAY and every other Wednesday for Book Club. In today's meeting, we will be playing some book-related games, with prizes! We will also be choosing our next book. Bring your friends!

  • It's not too late to join GBN's Model United Nations team! Over the weekend, the team attended the second competition of the year, and we have one more competition in 2025 that is open to new members. If you are interested in seeing what Model United Nations is all about, we meet every Wednesday after school in Room A117a - including today, right after school! 
  • What's for dinner tonight? How about Chipotle! From 5 to 9 p.m. this evening, 25% of all sales at the Chipotle on Willow Road will be donated directly to Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. So, if you've been craving a burrito bowl or some world-class guacamole, tonight is the night to satisfy that craving! If you would like to support the Relay for Life club before or after your delicious Chipotle dinner, we are also meeting in the Little Theater tonight at 7 p.m.! All are welcome to join the club and the meeting!

  • Attention all Track and Field Athletes!!!!!  There will be a pre-season meeting for anyone interested in joining the boys or girls track and field team this year today, Tuesday, November 4th, at 3:30 p.m. in the Little Theater.  Even if you are planning to compete in a winter sport but are thinking of joining the track team for the spring season, you are welcome to attend this meeting.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Brandt in the PE department or Coach Mayer in Special Ed.  All are welcome!
