  • Join us for our first-ever cannonball contest LIVE FROM THE GBN POOL after school TODAY! Come watch representatives from select GBN clubs, activities, and sports compete and cheer them on, immediately after school. Admission is $5 at the door!

  • Hey Spartans! Need some ideas of items to donate for the Food Drive? We’ve got you covered. The recommended list of food items to be donated includes coffee, crackers, canned chicken, plain white/brown rice, apple sauce, and baby food. Donations can be brought to SA Hall from 7:20-8:00 am. Stop by and donate! The last day to bring in donations is Wednesday.

  • Reminder for all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. If you want to be a leader of GBN's Environmental Club for the 2023-24 school year, you must apply by Tuesday, March 21st. A link to the application can be found on the club's Google Classroom, the class code is bkzz42j. Any questions? Reach out to the club sponsor, Ms. Ludolph in Science, OR one of our current leaders: Mia Carr, Hannan Oh, and Yebin Park.

  • Hey GBN! Did you know that one of the most effective ways to reduce your carbon footprint and fight climate change is to eat less meat? Whether you are already vegan, want to learn more about a plant-rich diet, or just want to sample some tasty dishes, the Environmental Club's next event is for you! Join us after school in the Foods Room on Tuesday, March 21st. Bring a friend, your appetite, and a vegan recipe to share! AND bring the ingredients for your recipe if you want to cook! All are welcome!

  • Hey Spartans! Need some ideas of items to donate for the Food Drive? We’ve got you covered. The recommended list of food items to be donated includes coffee, crackers, canned chicken, plain white/brown rice, apple sauce, and baby food. Donations can be brought to SA Hall from 7:20-8:00 am. Stop by and donate! 

  • Don’t forget to stop by the pool tomorrow after school for our first-ever Cannonball Contest! ​​Come watch representatives from select GBN clubs, activities, and sports compete and cheer them on, immediately after school at 3:30. Admission is $5 at the door to watch.

  • Attention GBN!! JOIN UNICEF!! Unicef, or the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, is a club dedicated to helping children around the world and making the students at GBN better global citizens. The first meeting will be held on Friday, March 17th, at 7:15 in the morning.  We will meet in room  A242. Come grab a free donut and learn more about how you can play an active role in supporting children across the globe.  We hope to see you there!

  • Please join the art department as we celebrate the artwork of the senior class at a reception after school today in the library.  There will be refreshments and NAHS will be selling handmade buttons at the reception for $2.

  • Happy Wednesday Spartans! Keep on bringing in those non-perishable food items to donate! Donations can be brought to SA Hall from 7:20-8:00 am. Our annual volleyball tournament will be held tonight in the back gyms starting at 7 pm. Admission is $5 at the door or 5 non-perishable food items for spectators who wish to watch the tournament. Support the teams and our food drive! 

  • Spartans, today is the last day to sign up for a Studio Spin/Kickboxing Session! Admission is $20 per person, so make sure to come by and claim your spot! Also, today, the first rounds of the video game tournament begin, so if you are signed up, good luck!

  • Hello, spartans! Are you interested in learning more about international diplomacy, practicing your public speaking skills, and going to conferences to step in the shoes of members of the UN? Join GBN's model UN in room A260 on Wednesday, March 15th! We will be continuing our speech competition and getting ready for Glenbrook South's Model UN Conference! All new members are encouraged to come to see what Model UN is all about!

  • Hey Spartans! GBN’s Gender-Sexuality Alliance, or GSA, will meet after school today, March 15th, in room A102. Stop by to talk about current LGBTQ+-related events, and to discuss upcoming, potentially harmful legislation in the U.S. All are welcome! See you Wednesday!

  • If you're interested in a club where you can have fun, do fun activities, socialize, and learn more about Latino and Spanish Culture, join Unidos! Come be a part of this new club today in room A 258 at 3:20 pm. All students are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 - Gold Day

  • Hey Spartans! Need some ideas of items to donate for the Food Drive? We’ve got you covered. The recommended list of food items to be donated includes coffee, crackers, canned chicken, plain white/brown rice, apple sauce, and baby food. The list is also available in an email sent last week, so please help out! Our goal for this year is 25,000 food items, so stop by SA Hall from 7:20-8:00 am to drop off your food items! Also, make sure to stop by our raffle during your lunch block today for prizes including Spartan of the Week winner, Cubs tickets, local store gifts, spirit wear, and more!

  • Spartans, tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the Saturday Studio Spin/Kickboxing session, with options of a one-hour spin session, or a one-hour kickboxing class. The fee is $20 and must be paid to the bookstore by 3:20 PM tomorrow. Spots are limited for both time slots so stop by the bookstore and sign up fast! 

  • Our annual volleyball tournament benefiting the food drive is on Wednesday, March 15th, at 7 pm. Teams need to submit their $30 deposit to the bookstore today before 3:30.

  • KIDS 4 THE CURE is having a club meeting on Tuesday, March 14th, in the science resource center after school. Come help us plan for our upcoming Boba Tea Sale! All are welcome!
